Modern Pop/Rock Latin-Crossover Artist "Carmireli" Reaches Beyond Unsigned Virtual Expectations
Without the aid of an independent radio promotion staff, unsigned, 18 year old Pop/Rock artist Carmireli is being played, and in some instances added to rotations, on a handful of commercial radio stations around the world. In the past three weeks, radio activity in the U.S. and abroad (California, Ohio, Belgium and Argentina) has prompted industry attention. "This comes as a welcome surprise," states Tony Gross, co-manager and representative for Castle Nine Entertainment, Carmireli's management company. "Oddly enough, the whole radio campaign is organically driven by Carmireli's 32,000 Myspace.com™ friends and fans. To our knowledge, she has in excess of 25 active fan clubs -- a real testament to her appeal all over the world."
Tom Sebourn P.D./M.D. KFMI 96.3 FM says, " Carmireli is set to become one of the biggest stars of 2007. Her well seasoned voice, great songs and beautiful looks are hard to ignore. We are playing 'Who We Are' on Power 96.3 KFMI FM in Eureka California. This song has all the qualities of a number one hit! The songs 'You Make Me Feel Brand New' and 'I Ain't Buyin', are also very radio friendly. We hope to see a nation wide tour and would like to invite Carmireli to join us in the studio for a morning interview with D.J. Pete Meyer if she ever comes to Eureka."
Of notable interest is Carmireli's song "One Mistake", which she penned with Johnny Cummings and Richard Fink IV. It was initially released in October for download and competitive voting on the Next Big Hit New Music Mix -- one of the most dominant music podcasts available at iTunes™. Carmireli broke voting records when voters chose "One Mistake" as the number one pick to move on to the following week's podcast for four weeks running, the maximum allowed.
