FLAVORx Online Forums Facilitate Communication Among Parents, Consumers & Experts
FLAVORx Inc, the preeminent pharmacy flavoring system for medications, has recently launched its online forum at www.flavorx.com to help its visitors better communicate with each other and pharmacy experts. After receiving thousands of queries from parents, pharmacists, doctors and nurses FLAVORx saw the need to add to its website a forum that would allow people with questions regarding children and medicine to seek answers. The goal of the forum is to facilitate an open community in which parents can post questions and share advice and tips on children's health topics. FLAVORx's wide range of visitors to the website, including consumers, pharmacists, pediatricians and nurses will allow for a comprehensive range of answers for each topic. Visitors will be able to register online to participate in the forum, and sign up for email alerts when new answers and topics are posted.
The community, titled 'Parent 2 Parent,' facilitates open communication among parents on topics and concerns such as food and medication interaction, particularly bad-tasting medications and flavoring, as well as more general parenting subjects such as common illnesses and symptoms and general tips on caring for a sick child. Parents can exchange messages on their experiences as well as seek advice from other parents and experts who have dealt with similar issues. In addition, parents can post messages related to their experiences with flavoring, their children's favorite flavors, and prescription and over-the-counter medications for which they have found flavoring most helpful.
According to Kenny Kramm, FLAVORx President and CEO, "The idea is to make our website more interactive for our visitors. Creating a community where parents can ask questions of us and of each other will help parents get great advice from great sources."
Kramm adds, "Participation is a key element for websites in today's culture. When customers are given a voice, they're able to dictate the website information that's most valuable to their needs."
In addition to the online forum, FLAVORx will continue its online chat service that gives visitors the ability to chat with a FLAVORx representative directly. The online chat and community forums will serve similar purposes, but will provide different outlets for information. The online chat will allow consumers to receive answers immediately from FLAVORx representatives and engage in a one-on-one exchange of information. However, the Parent 2 Parent forum will open questions up to all visitors and allow opportunities for answers to come from a variety of sources.
