BreakThru Radio to Showcase the Hottest Music from Down Under

BreakThru Radio (BTR) DJs have discovered an interesting fact -- it’s the independent and unsigned artists who are providing listeners with the best music from all genres and cities around the world. One example is BTR’s Artist of the Week and J Award nominee for Australian Album of the Year, Gotye. Gotye is one of Australia’s most popular acts, and they will be having their international debut on BTR beginning July 24.

BTR has experienced phenomenal growth, and we are now reaching over 4 million listeners a week. We love to surprise our listeners with new artists such as Gotye, since it enables them to be the first to experience a new presence on the world music scene.

"BTR has experienced phenomenal growth, and we are now reaching over 4 million listeners a week. BTR is devoted to giving a voice to talented, upcoming artists from around the world. It also has a unique formula that empowers DJs to pick and play their own music. It is this feature that has allowed DJ Latola to scour the Earth for the best independent music talents, discovering the most cutting edge musicians not being played on traditional radio.

Featured artists showcased on BTR have not only gained a larger fan base, but they have also grown in stature. After being played on BTR, Bedouin Soundclash is now opening for Ben Harper, while the Giraffes are the opening act for Eagles of Death Metal. R&B singer David Goode was one of the first artists to develop a following through BTR, and he was recently chosen as Vibe’s "Unsigned Draft Pick" in this year’s June issue.

BTR broadcasts 24 hours a day on www.breakthruradio.com or www.NYTrack.com, New York's only website dedicated to the tri-state high school track community, thus reaching over 5 million high school students.
