Free Online Podcast Marketing Seminar and Networking Event, Tuesday, June 20th
"Ad spending on blogs, podcasts and RSS will reach $49.8 million in 2006, up 144.9%...according to PQ Media. By 2010, PQ estimates, total advertising spending on the category will reach $757 million." This BtoB Online article illustrates that monetizing podcasts is no longer a thing of the future, but is happening now.
That is why the International Podcasting Expo's free monthly online seminar features Dr. Tony Marino, of America Web Works, Podcast Media Services and host of the Podcast Radio Show. His company specializes in Podcasting for large companies, but his passion is offering his knowledge to grass root podcasters. His presentation, entitled "Podcasting For Profit: How To Effectively Market & Monetize Your Podcast," will begin at 9pm EST on June 20th.
The seminars employ the same audio conference room technology used during the quarterly Online International Podcasting Expos. These rooms are PC and Mac compatible, offer voice chat, text chat, synchronized browsing so everyone sees the same screen at the same time, and recording of the entire multi-media experience. All that is needed is an internet connection and speakers to attend, and a microphone to participate verbally.
An open podcasting networking session follows the seminar, so podcasters can introduce themselves and their shows, share ideas and ask questions, as well as foster collaborations with other podcasters. We will also discuss plans for the upcoming Women's Podcasting Expo, July 14-16, 2006 and the next International Podcasting Expo, October 20-22, 2006.
