SurfNet Media Group Announces Partnering Relationship with Kino Communications and Speedera Networks

Tempe, AZ November 3, 2004 -- SurfNet Media Group (http://www.surfnetmedia.com/) announced today a partnering relationship with Kino Communications, a networked communications service provider, to provide SurfNet global Internet broadcasting services through Speedera Networks, a leading global provider of on-demand distributed content delivery and application hosting services. Kino is providing SurfNet access to Speedera Network’s Live and On-Demand Content Delivery Network. The #2 Fastest Growing Private Company in Silicon Valley, Speedera's media and entertainment customers include world-class leading brands, such as Fox Broadcasting, IFILM, National Public Radio, the NHL, Playboy, SIRIUS Satellite Radio, Sony Music Entertainment, Univision, XM Radio and many others.

Speedera’s Live and On-Demand Content Delivery Network enhances SurfNet’s scalability, quality and reliability, while eliminating much of the capital cost, risk, complexity and administrative overhead of operating enterprise-scale customer-owned infrastructure. Already, SurfNet has upgraded streaming, sound quality and other critical features.

“The relationship with Kino and Speedera enables SurfNet to focus on our core competency; namely, producing and broadcasting live and on-demand talk radio infotainment content,” said Robert Arkin, CEO.

Metaphor can deliver rich media content directly to web sites, desktops and portable devices in seconds without downloading and instantly modifies from a single control point. SurfNet has applied the Metaphor technology to create a “picture within a picture” container that launches to a corner of a viewer’s screen from a unique icon. Once launched, Metaphor broadcasts live, prerecorded or archived rich media content on top of Windows Media Player, RealPlayer or any other resident media player.
