BuyMeaBeer.com to launch in Corney & Barrow Wine Bars
London, U.K September 22, 2004 -- BuyMeaBeer.com http://www.buymeabeer.com the SMS drinks voucher service launches in London-based Corney & Barrow Wine Bars this week.
The mobile driven service that allows people to buy family, friends and/or colleagues a beer via their mobile phone with SMS messaging, will be launching exclusively in Corney & Barrow Wine Bars http://www.corney-barrow.co.uk on Thursday, 23 September 2004.
The service developed by mobile specialists Eagle Eye Technology http://www.eageleeyetechnology.com works in three simple steps; users choose a drink from the selection of items by logging onto the BuyMeaBeer.com website at http://www.buymeabeer.com, they send the voucher by entering the recipient’s mobile number (with a personal message) and then they pay with their credit card.
The user’s voucher is then sent via SMS to the recipient and, when received, they simply show their mobile phone and the message they received with their unique code at the bar; in order to collect their drink from a member of the Corney & Barrow bar staff. Corney & Barrow processes the code immediately as a live transaction. This is as quick, if not quicker, than using a credit card.
