D'Art Radio, where indie music hits the spot.

In the music industry, indies constitute 25% of the industry. With a quarter of the industry designating this group, where is the representation? D’Art Radio http://www.dartradio.com emerges as an Internet community including a radio station that caters to Urban, Techno, Alternative Rock and Pop. To maintain this belief, D’Art Radio will continue to seek and review indie artists and DJ’s, to expose new talent. Interested artists are able to submit their music to be aired while also being marketed through a variety of avenues. Selection is based on artists that create cutting edge music that effectively rivals those that are within the mainstream community. This community recognizes indies and its genres; moreover, D’Art Radio facilitates in creating a stronger voice by linking artists, their music, advocacy groups and emerging avenues together in order to propel this progressive movement. D’Art Radio formulates partnerships with industry groups in entertainment and media in order to gain global exposure for indies. In this manner, D’Art Radio is where indie music hits the spot.

" In a given hour, the same 10 artists are played and yet you know there are more. D‘Art Radio answers this common question ‘Where‘s the rest of the music?’," - Arlene Smith, Operations Manager

For those that are listeners, D’Art Radio becomes an education tool about the indie music industry and an easily accessible radio station that is streamed whether you are at home, the office or school. These listeners will find a multitude of music that is not represented on terrestrial stations. Within the indie community, D’Art Radio brings artists, their music and the industry together. It is their aim to select the best of indie works in order to create additional services and exposure. In this effort, the community will introduce expanded coverage of artists via their videos, interviews, dates of performances/appearances and much more. This can be achieved through D’Art Radio’s continued search for partnerships, sponsorships and connections within the music and entertainment industry as a whole.

"There is a window of opportunity where talented artists can obtain access, it is time for indies to come through." - Arlene Smith

Although D‘Art Radio debuts this summer, it is an extension from the feedback, interests and education learned within the music industry. This community is founded by singer/songwriter and artist, Dorian and Operations Manager, Arlene Smith. They are also founders of the parent company D‘Artagnan Entertainment LLC http://www.dartentertain.com - formed July of 2002.
