“…Talking onto the subject of relationships between men and women… these are a sea of hidden agendas and unspoken goals. Wouldn’t it be refreshing if they could be up-front, honest, and explicit? Something acceptable to both sides, provided each agrees. I bet I could write a novel about how an older man could make such an honest arrangement with a younger woman, all open and above-board. Temporary marriage?

…So I tried it out. Without any expectation that it would feel that way, it turned out to be wonderful.

… It was as if even I were always trying to return to the doings of Wilson, my central hero, along with his women and his friends — to find out what would happen next…”
