Breakthrough Global Technology Business Network Launched - www.Scalableair.com
A global communications network introduced today, the ScalableAir.com Network, aims to unify the fragmented state of business technology news. Technology company managers and specialists will enjoy unprecedented access to information via a single, and free, user ID.
Scalableair.com's first four sites are based in three countries and two continents. Regions debuting include Atlantic, Canada; Hong Kong, China; Raleigh, North Carolina; and Toronto, Canada.
The new network aims to win three distinct audiences:
General members
Their free access lets them post information for an audience a continent away by “scaling” to another site -- using a drop-down menu -- from any site page. They can offer information or get local advice on a forum or even send a note to a member in another land.
Technology company managers and specialists
They enjoy the free access of general members, but they can also read and submit information to specific IT category fields again and again. For example, a software developer can maintain a “Software Developer Blog” that charts his experiences during a major project.
Technology companies
They will distribute “AirReleases” throughout the global network. AirReleases resemble press releases, but are written by professional technology editors. AirReleases are categorized by field, contain photos and logos, and are archived. The prices for writing and distributing AirReleases will be competitive with what general news services charge for distribution alone.
Site representatives, called “Managing Editors,” are technology veterans. “Our Eleven Managing Editors average 10 years of career technology involvement,” stated Robert Kennedy, President of Text Excellence, Inc., which owns the ScalableAir network. “Most are currently working as writers and editors and some have been developers and managers.”
More regions are on the way, said Kennedy. “An additional seven Managing Editors have just completed training; their sites will be active within days. We will add 15 per month on average for the next six months,” Kennedy added.
Over 95% of the revenue earned by writing or editing AirReleases flows back to Managing Editors. Kennedy, a freelance technical writer and translator for over eight years, claims that this revenue model will prompt serious writers from around the world to sign on as Managing Editors. Company revenue will flow from advertising and, eventually, paid membership levels.
Kennedy hinted that there is more to come. “The big job boards charge up to $300.00 for each geographical location, even for the same position. We think we can create a much more affordable and effective solution for technology companies than centralized job boards.”
