TravelHunters.com - Still Going Strong After One Year

There were many factors that led to the development of the TravelHunters.com site back in the Spring of 2003. One of the main reasons Dean and Lee Packingham launched the site was to help family and friends through the confusion of booking travel on the Internet. They'd seen so many close friends and family members book travel "deals", only to find out there were all kinds of fees and taxes tacked on at the end. By the time the booking was completed, the price was actually higher than the legitimate sites. The result was a site dedicated to creating a safe community of like-minded travel bargain hunters.

Dean and Lee didn't know quite what to expect when they launched the site. The site received about 1000 visits during the first month of operation, but as word grew that there was a site that was a "safe haven" for travel deal finders, it grew very quickly. By spring of 2004, the site was receiving more than 25,000 unique visitors per month and Dean and Lee were receiving hundreds of email messages each week.

If you haven't been to TravelHunters.com, we hope you come and check it out. You can join the free message boards, sign up for our "Hot Deals" newsletter, and even ask for help finding a cruise. Lee personally responds to everyone asking for help finding a cruise. Lee's advice is completely objective, and he is passionate about finding the best deal through the best company. You'll also find about 65 objective vacation package deals, pulled from dozens of quality sites throughout the Internet. Perhaps most intriguing is the "Travel Discount" program, with EXCLUSIVE discounts from about a dozen top travel websites.
