goZone.com Breaks 10,000 with New myProfile Function

The goZone.com search engine (http://www.gozone.com) today announced that over 10,000 unique users are now employing its new search personalization feature, 'myProfile', marking a milestone in less than five months. The new myProfile function allows users to access the full power of goZone Personalization features, such as search algorithm choice and page layout modification. Each unique user is able to create and save a personalized profile, a 'myProfile', select search options and set defaults, all of which enable a user to be solely in control over his or her search experience. The myProfile feature reinforces goZone.com's dedication to keeping Personalized Search in the control of individual users and not computer software programmers.

The rapid expansion of the goZone.com myProfile function demonstrates the power and appeal of this tool. A goZone.com user with a 'myProfile' is in the driver's seat. Users are then fully in control of their page layout, for example. Users are able to choose to have Headline News and their local weather report prominently displayed on their goZone.com homepage. One mouse click will allow users to review their mySearch history, their past search queries, or to review their myClick history, the links they found most useful and clicked on. Dependency on bookmarking web pages dwindles for goZone.com users. They are fully in control of, not only the look and feel of the goZone.com search engine, but also the type and amount of information goZone.com provides to them.

By creating a goZone profile using the 'myProfile' function, users are able to set up and use search demographics, choose zones to search, and edit Objects to display only the information they desire, such as additional navigation options, statistical information, or Partner offers. goZone.com users with a myProfile are able set up defaults like search zones and the search algorithm. Users can alter their choice of search algorithms while conducting searches to obtain the most relevant results for their individual query.

"What goZone.com is aiming to give you is the ability to create your own Personal Search Engine, complete with choice of search defaults, color scheme, and layout," stated Ernie St. Gelais, the President of goZone.com. “We currently have over 10,000 users with a myProfile and that number is growing substantially every day.” Visit http://www.gozone.com/about.htm to learn more about the new goZone.com search engine.
