New Internet Technologies Enable the Aging to Have a Voice.
The collective voice of the WWW has been dominated by commercial enterprises and by tech heads with enough savvy to understand the procedures to create web pages. The real wealth of art and knowledge is still contained within the hearts and minds of individuals through-out the world. Very possibly the greatest un-tapped resources are contained within our aging society members.
"I re-counted to my wife on a recent road-trip how in 1935 my parents traveled from San Francisco to Oregon to elope. I can't remember the name of the town a lot of the details are gone forever. Most remembered is the sparkle in my mom's eyes as she recalled how the local town folks hosted a chivaree for them. The townsfolk stole the sheets from my parents bungalow and banged on pots and pans outside their room. As the magic of their romance/marriage would have it they went back on their 60th anniversary to re-live their memories."
"The sad part is that the greater details of their wedding are lost forever the details were lost when my parents both passed during the last decade."
