Craigslist Meets YouTube Meets Yellowpages as Listasaurus.Com Launches Video Classifieds

Listasaurus.com, the first online classifieds site to pay users for listing their ads, has now added video classifieds to their list of features. Listasaurus.com, which offers both standard classified listings like Craigslist as well as a Business Directory similar to the YellowPages, now features video uploading capabilities like YouTube.com in both areas.

"Adding the video option to our listings was the next logical progression," says Melanie Heywood, Founder and CEO of Listasaurus.com. "Web video is popular, and offers a layer of detail you simply can't achieve with traditional print classifieds or directories. Not to mention, viewers are 82% more likely to purchase an item or service after watching a video presentation, so we hope it will help sellers and businesses achieve more success."

Unlike other sites that only offer video classifieds, Listasaurus will continue to give their users choices. People can list classified ads with or without photos, and with or without videos -- whatever works best for the individual.

"We realize that not everyone is video savvy, or has the time to create and upload a video," says Listasaurus Vice President Anderson Pinto. "We just want to offer as many features as possible to help our users sell their items, promote their business, or connect with others in the community."

Listasaurus will also still continue to pay their users simply for listing ads -- even for video ads, which is quite a twist on other sites who just offer free listings. With their Pay Per Listing Program, when an ad is placed in an eligible category, the user will receive 25 cents per listing. Eligible categories include Stuff for Sale, Free Stuff, and non-commercial Real Estate, Rentals and Vehicles. Listasaurus.com pays users once a month, with no minimum rewards amount required to receive payment. Eligible ads can include either a photo, a video, or both.
